After being pushed over the edge by the most popular kids at school, four-eyed wallflower Nancy Nelson cries to the heavens for help! But it is Satan who hears her cry. The Devil transforms Nancy into a big-haired, foul-mouthed, sex bomb rocker who's hungry for souls, and sweet revenge is on the menu! Who will save Nancy? And will the power of love for who she really is break the spell before it’s too late?
A Note From The Creator
"It all started fourteen years ago. I had my own rock theatre company in Woodstock, NY, and we needed a summer show. As I walked through my closet, stockpiled with VHS tapes, I received the download. This was going to be my opportunity to reach my life goal — to write one great rock musical in my lifetime.
I wrote the entire thing in two weeks, we raised $5K on Kickstarter and my ambitious three-hour rock opus, Girlfriend from Hell: The Musical opened at an off-off-(Way) off-Broadway theater with no A/C on the hottest weekend of the summer. The script wasn’t exactly ready for the Tonys, but there was a lot there to motivate me to keep going. In fact, it became my biggest creative passion.
Several stage productions, readings, concerts, and close calls to major opportunities later, we’ve both learned a lot about ourselves. That show has now evolved beyond anything I could’ve possibly imagined. In fact, it has been completely reborn as a brand spankin’ new musical called I WAS A TEENAGE SHE-DEVIL, a new concept with a much deeper purpose — and she’s finally ready to come out and show its true self to the world for the first time.
